God only knows

God only knows
person gets
what he wants
when bows

we human beings deserve nothing
as you always ask for something
pay nothing in return
and turn against

hardly few practice humanism
rest all run after materialism
pile up the wealth
and go down with health

rich and poor
both suffer
for the want of sacred commitment
that is absent today

no one is aware
so don't dare
only external forces can guide
the faith is a deciding factor

whether God is there or not
we are unnecessarily caught
in controversies and spoil our living
life is for living and believing

had we known and grasped correctly!
the life was like a bubble and was to end abruptly
we had taken some clue
and paid its due

but we are all humans
and prone
to the excuses
and use extra intelligence with a guilty conscience
