I think God has a simple plan
By which He wants us to live
I don’t think he is expecting us
To give more than we can give
He wants us to do the best
That we can from day to day
To be good to one another
As we go along our way
To try to help those less fortunate
And be thankful for what we own
For most of us have worked so hard
To make our house a home
It’s not just material things
That should mean the most to us
A better house, a car or boat
Are an unimportant fuss
It’s not about our neighbors
And if they have more than we do
Oh no, it’s the love inside of us
That’s what He’d like us to pursue
So I guess what I’m trying to say
Just try to love your fellow man
Give kindness and do your best
‘Cause God has a simple plan!
