Going To Mars Poem by Randy McClave

Going To Mars

I am tired of these people here on earth
I believe I need to move and get a new birth,
First, I must find myself a cheap rocket ship
And then through space and time I will zip.
I want to travel and move past the stars
I want to move to the planet Mars,
And then I'll hang out with those really cool aliens
And I hope they are somewhat like us homosapiens.
Though I am white and my hair is gray
If on Mars I hope that we all can bond anyway,
Even though we won't share the same gene
I would happily dye my hair green.
I would hope to move there really really soon
Then I could feel the romance seeing it's second moon,
And though Mars is very small
I could teach the Martians how to play American football.
Though its just 127,943,020 miles away
I truly hope and wish that I can go their one day,
That would be my New Year's resolution
Because, I am just tired of hanging out with humans.
