Gone Away Poem by Gerry Legister

Gone Away

Did you forget me?
Once my smile had faded away
And laughter turned to wrath
Left without delay.

when my presence is no longer there
could you escape the reality?
And find only silence drawing near?
When the shadows linger like an eternity.

Gone away, acrossed the line
That is meant to keep the mystery inside.
Because I cannot read your mind,
All the secrets are coloured outside.

And has gone far out of sight
Hidden in the revealed light.
