Gone Too Long Poem by victoria suzyo phiri

Gone Too Long

Rating: 5.0

You are gone too long…………yet you linger
I see you everywhere I go…
You are the cool breeze that waltzes by on a hot summer day.
You are the first ray of light that ends a scary dark night.
You are the moment that calms a violent storm.

I hear you everywhere I go….
You are the strong voice that urges me to be strong when I feel like giving up.
You are the persistent whisper that reprimands me when I am in the wrong.
You are the applause that I hear when I have outdone myself.

I feel you everywhere I go…
I feel your love in the smile of a passing stranger.
I feel your comfort in the embrace of a dear friend.
I feel your re-birth when I gaze into the eyes of a new born baby.

You are gone too long….yet you forever linger.
