Greeted By Your Smile* Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Greeted By Your Smile*

Rating: 5.0

Spent 43 straight hours
at airports on flights
traveling by day and night
thinking of a friend.
I’ll meet at journey’s end,
be in Istanbul by 2pm. Amen.

Like dew at break of dawn
my heart grows steadily warm
as I strive to slip free,
of this weariness I’ve borne.

All this and more worthwhile
when greeted by the radiance
of your smile.
