Grocery Shopping Poem by Randy McClave

Grocery Shopping

When I shopped at another grocery store
Many times I felt it as a depressing chore,
The workers never smile, as I walked each isle
Seldom they helped me find what I was looking for.

So, instead I enjoy shopping at the local Foodfair
The workers really do care,
They always say hi, whenever I stop by
So, I truly enjoy shopping there.

Grayson always helps me find whatever that I need
Tara is a caring soul to all customers indeed,
They all say hello, I'm a happy shopping fellow
And Sydney with her wave and smile does the greatest deed.

Ashley checks the eggs making sure they're not broke
Never with a bad thought ever spoke,
Shyeann is a smiling cashier, respecting her every peer
And Madison of course is everyone's hometown folk.

Many other workers are there employed
I guess yet them I have not yet annoyed,
Many work at the deli, they always tempt my eyes and belly
Their cooking and preparing I very seldom avoid.

Sometimes I'll stop there on the way to the gym
Sometimes I stop there just for a whim,
And when I'm there to shop, sometimes I just buy me a pop
And I usually say, "hi" to my buddy Tim.
