Haiku - the old school bell

old brass bell
heavy the thought
of school years

old brass bell
echoing still
the school years

old brass bell
so cold our memory
has grown

old brass bell
heavy my thoughts
this evening

old brass bell
heavy my thoughts
of the school years

the old brass bell
solid and clear
school memories

old brass bell
reverberating still
the school years

old brass bell
this evening school memory
cold and still

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
