Halifax Poem by Leah Ayliffe

Halifax

Rating: 5.0

I remember Scotlands ice gray skies and lush green grass
While walking through the rainy streets of Halifax.
Different bands playing a show at the Carlton,
A chaos of jazz and rock n' roll in the air.
A red light back drop, white stringed lights across the ceiling.
Basement beer at Henry's, ancient stone walls that speak of deep history of men stronger than any today.
The atmosphere tastes crisp and salty from the Atlantic, breathing the dark blue in and exhaling the memory that there are things to think about.
Musical artists line the street of bars and bright lights every night,
Exposing their passion.
And I die dreaming with them.
And I die happy.
