Haste To Flush It Quick Is Logic Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Haste To Flush It Quick Is Logic

Logic to have it.
Few can claim,
A knowing what it is.
Or where an example of it exists.

It can not be known,
By the ones showing themselves racist.
Or those saying they have been victimized.
When in their own comfort zones,
A doing to themselves,
Has been more harm to condone.
Although the color of one's skin,
Is used as a marketing tool...
Filling the pockets with no end to stop it.

But where is the logic?
People disparaged and disenfranchised,
Have recognized throughout history...
Their lives have been jeopardized,
By those they know deceive and lie.
Yet seek from them to be treated as equals.
Learning to deceive and lie.
Then wonder as if surprised,
Their quality of life...
Has been unified in corruption,
Confusion, selfishness and greed.
All feasting on a feeding of animosity.

Logic to have it.
Few can claim a knowing what it is.
Although sharing together,
An abundance of ignorance...
These days no one admits,
They have more than enough of this.

People say it is peace they wish.
And equal that and this to get.
Yet logic and common sense to use,
Is no more prioritized...
Than what is done on a daily basis,
To consider waste.
With haste to flush it quick down a toilet.
