He Lied Poem by Randy McClave

He Lied

He laughed and mocked about his sexual assault
He then said it wasn't his, but her fault,
And then he told everyone how he gave her the shaft
And there with the others you just laughed.

He told you how he proudly walked in a woman's dressing room
Enticed by the naked youth and their perfume,
And then when with a smirk he said he didn't really sin
You then gave him a grin.

He told you if your famous especially in Slovenia and China
Women will just let you grab them by their vagina,
Then you thought of his belief and of his guile
But, then you still gave him a smile.

Now all of those adults who were laughing with him
Not feeling at all sad or pathetic or grim,
Though some will call him a predator and some a rich jerk
But, you gave him a thumbs up and a happy smirk.

When your daughters come home from school or a date
And ask you how can boys treat women like they are third rate,
Do you get angry or upset in any way
Or, do you just think it's funny and acceptable and okay?
