He sleeps,
and as he sleeps, I guard his sleep.
He sleeps,
and as he lays there, deep asleep,
my heart's appeased, because I protect his sleep.
That rested, quiet, peaceful sleep.
I watch him, I see him,
calmly, I hear him. I feel him.
I'm there, I'm not there.
I don't need to be there, for he's there.
He sleeps,
and as he sleeps, my heart beats.
He's there,
and I don't need to be there.
For I can see him,
feel him, right beneath my wing.
