Heartless Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Heartless

I dread your coldness
your seeming heartlessness...
I fear my words
would hum the tune of pleadings...

I despise your deafness...
your single-track mindedness...
I'm afraid my knees
would fold again and again to beggings...

Thus, before these fears turn to a solid nightmare...
I fear I must sever the ties that bind us...
