Life seems so short
Its glimpses are drear
Although too short
It carries alot of trauma and fear

Though that is how it seems to be
You sometimes can't wait to fit
Cause it has given you so much pain to be
And you can't even sit to eat

Through life with turmoil
Through life with sorrow
Through life with pain
Through life with failure

You have trudged wearingly
Thinking of your life
You seem to dread all life
Cause it seems futile

But you begin to hope
An eye of faith
Beyond this earthly life
To an eternal life

Where there will be no sorrow
Where you will walk the streets
Paved with gold and diamonds
Where you hope to see your God

That is the hope you have
Even though life seems so treacherous
You can look forward to be there
You can stay on earth without fear

That place is heaven
Where there will be no death
No more crying and strife
Please God you shall pray
'Help me to be there
With You in heaven'
