During our lives we go through times
That seems so hurtful and bad
We know, of course, that life
At times will make us feel sad.

We have to do many daily things
That we really don't want to do
We'd rather do most any other thing
I'm sure this has happened to you.

People come and then they must go
Our parents we know is part of this
For life cannot be perfect
Life just cannot be mostly bliss.

But then someone we are close to
Gets sick, they fight for their life
We fight along with them
This is much more than daily strife.

But then they are gone, oh Lord
We think we cannot continue
Our love for them is so deep
It might happen to me and to you.

So let's tell God how sad we really are
We need His help to get us through
He is listening, my friend, truly
Yes, he is there for me and for you!
