Her Smile Does Poem by Christopher Andrew

Her Smile Does

I dreamt your cheeks blossom as you read this and my toes curled while I hoped you would. I paced ten minutes while searching for a good piece of paper to jot it down and prayed I wouldn't forget the opening line. One that would not rip or fade too easily like this crush which blissened me tonight. My itches turned to tingles, my legs stretched to feel the softness of my sheets. But before I sleep, some water first. Still similing, I make mistake and place the filled glass in the fridge and attempt to drink from the container while we both laugh together.
