They come in every shape and size
From across our cherished land
They come in every age and color too
And they always take a stand
They go way back into our history
Strong men with values true
They loved and protected our country
They’ve always fought for me and you
Where once only men would serve
It’s very different now
For women too, sign their names
On a bible they take a vow
They vow to put their lives aside
No matter what it might take
Their children wait at home for them
Oh, such sacrifices they make
The parents of these men and women
A beloved daughter or a son
Or perhaps a child’s parent
They are heroes every one!
Hi Marilyn. A big Here, here from me. My sentiments exactly they are all hero's and should be recognised as such. Well done Regards Dave T.10/10
