Heroic Warriors Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Heroic Warriors

On movie screens and TV seen,
Scripted to rehearse...
Repeatedly are scenes.
Dramatized to perfection,
An image to depict...
That someone facing,
Every impossible obstacle...
To defend the World,
From a destruction to overcome it.
At the last nail biting minute.

Yet...
In reality to witness lived,
There are no heroic warriors.
Sitting backstage.
Awaiting fully prepared.
For a grand entrance to make.
As every hair sprayed,
Stays in place.
Declaring From a script,
Written words to have learned.
They have come to save the day.

And magically before all eyes to see,
People are cured...
Of all their trials and tribulations.
And every disease man made or not,
Begin to scream to then hopscotch away.
While disappearing heard to sing,
As orchestrated music in the background...
Start to rise with sounds of violins,
Over birds chirping.
Leaving everyone who had been close to death,
Joyously dancing around...
Heroic warriors announcing,
Their humble reluctance to accept the attention.

This to wish and delude,
Many will still refuse in argument to deny...
Only happens in the movies.
Although...
If to see on TV,
Everything will forever be for them believed!
Regardless if disputed,
Throughout history.
And revealed with evidence of truth produced!
