Holi Oh Holi Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Holi Oh Holi

Rating: 5.0

Holi! Holi! You have come once in a year,
You come with colors to provide us cheer.
You are also known as festival of color,
You bring joy in lives instead of dolor.

You are celebrated by Hindus and non Hindu communities,
You come with love, fraternity and many opportunities
You are celebrated to mark the arrival of spring,
Celebrants daub themselves, happiness they bring.

About you, there is a nice story in Hindu Legend we know,
Hindu deity Vishnu saves Prahlada from evil and negative blow.
He saves him from his evil aunt Holika and from father soon,
He shows the victory of good over evil and provides us boon.

Holi! You offer special food and beverage on this Holi we play,
Sweets like gujia, rasmalai, ladoos and malpua full of tray.
You are famous in Delhi, Rajasthan, Mathura and Varanasi,
Many people come here to enjoy and beautification to see.

You are a festival of colors, love and colour and joy,
People celebrate you with pomp and taking food and soy.
You are welcomed to come for providing good relationship,
Please come every year in time we must worship you in ship.

A beautiful poem commemorating the great festival of colors. On this day people daub themselves in colors. Holi is celebrated with great festivity and rejoicing in many parts of India, especially in the North Indian states. This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. Kumaramani sir, you have rendered the poem in all its essence and spirit! Top marks
