Hope is surely a strange feeling
We embrace it sailing the river of life
It gives us strength and liberty to dream
And provides the needed shade to thrive
Wounds may appear deep and scarred
The shroud of darkness all around
But hope always keeps us going
Sprinkling optimism in the surround
We always hope the seeds we sow
Grow to become a tall strong tree
The branches aspire to reach high
And thrive in a land that is very free
I hope for a world that is fair and sane
Where humanity exits like stars in the sky
Relationships built on a foundation of trust
Free to grow without any strings to fly
Let us break the shackles that hold us
Multiply our strength with those around
Share the goodness that we all possess
Making hope and reality a single sound
