House Where Winter Lodges Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

House Where Winter Lodges

The house where winter lodges
Occasionally; the ghosts howl
On purpose so that none will come.
The waters almost flood it
And
The lightning colors plays
Hideous around it and
On its walls.
Depart curious I
I had to
I heard the voice from my
Sub-Conscious and I obeyed
I feared the ghosts, thunder and
Lightning
That this house
They were protecting.
I saw that I should not
Ever defy a season:
Then
The seasons whisper together
And
They all agree against you
Then
You have been as ostracized
From this Earth
A season by itself will crush
Me
Therefore let me cut my
Curiosity
Here
Are the scissors open…

Dragon
Fly
That
Low
Over
The
Waters
Flies
The
Seasons
Whisper
Whisper
The
Doll
Hanging
At
The
Door
That
Was
The
Summer
Inside
The
House
There
Now
Resides
The
Autumn
And
Thereafter
Winter…

The house where winter lodges
Occasionally; the ghosts howl
On purpose so that none will come.
The waters almost flood it
And
The lightning colors plays
Hideous around it and
On its walls.
Depart curious I
I had to
I heard the voice from my
Sub-Conscious and I obeyed
I feared the ghosts, thunder and
Lightning
That this house
They were protecting.
I saw that I should not
Ever defy a season:
Then
The seasons whisper together
And
They all agree against you
Then
You have been as ostracized
From this Earth
A season by itself will crush
Me
Therefore let me cut my
Curiosity
Here
Are the scissors open…
