How can you know the depth
of my love for you Beloved?

How can you know my feelings
of passion denied me so long?

How can you fathom the abyss and
deep sorrow of our apartness?

How can you understand what’s
been stolen from my heart ‘n soul?

How can you spurn what your
heart knows to be true?

Are we then condemned to walk
the shores of a dead sea?

Questions only God can answer
of this hurt and fragile lover...
