How Do You Sleep At Night? Poem by Selina Cobain

You could've seen it in his eyes
You must have lied too many times
Broken his soul and blackened  his mind
You were too cold and he was too kind 
He was your pet and you were his light
Tell me how do you sleep at night
You could've smelled it in the air
Left him with hurt and you with no cares
Pretend to love, pretend to try
Is it for him or yourself that you cry?
Cause you repent doesn't make it all right
So tell me how do you sleep at night
You could've heard it in his voice  
Left him alone and gave him no choice
But to go and take his own life
With some help from his Meds and some stabs with his knife 
He haunted your head as you lose your own fight
Now you won't ever sleep at night.
