I Am The Constant Gardener

Written after viewing the film The Constant Gardener, based on the
2001 John le Carre novel by the same title; this poem is dedicated to my
wife Kim and my sons Devin and Shawn
I am the constant gardener,
the intense wife and diffident husband combined:
they came to the same place, the same end.
And there are no children—even if there are, were two.

Thanks for your comment. I assume you have seen the film The Constant Gardener. If you have not seen this film, rampant with government corruption, corrupt business practices, and the assassination of whistle blowers, give it a viewing. It is prescient: although several years old, the film accurately portrays events that parallel those of Donald Trump's presidency.
