I ask nothing but love
Dawn and then morning;
Love and then yearning,
Wish you could stop,
One heart from breaking,
And one life from hurting,
Then shall not go in vain,
Your love that you say in me,
And this cold world missing
Hustle and bustle over petty things,
In love, a common thing, just like,
After night descends morning,
I know a little brook,
In your heart, so still it is flowing,
Where I am a little, shy flower,
Dancing, blowing, bending,
With the breeze that blows,
From the brook so sweet and so dear,
And a little thirsty bird,
Going down to quench thirst,
Whose cup of life
Is always drunken there,
Be not angry with me, my dear,
For I bear your soul everywhere,
May be we are two bodies,
Bind them one and,
See one soul everywhere,
When trials come to test you,
Count me, my life, my all,
An offering I bring to you, my dear,
I give myself to you,
You may not like my words,
They sound like little jars,
But without odors and scars,
Rather enrich you,
With refreshing colors and lusters,
A piece of love that I reserved,
For God is to you now poured,
Now you have the whole of me forever,
In return I ask you nothing but love,
Only love and love forever......
When trials come to test you, Count me, my life, my all, An offering I bring to you, my dear, I give myself to you, In return I ask you nothing but love Only love and love for ever! I feel these lines summarize it all.... What better affirmation of love one can give! Enjoyed much! !
But that love is the most precious and the day you are known to the other your love will be responded. A fine poem written in apt diction.
