I Became Un-Normal Poem by Melody Paxton

I Became Un-Normal

Rating: 5.0

There I was happy and free
I sought to be normal
I aimed to be me
No one to blister
No one to burn
I played the fool
I guess it was my turn

In between jobs
And in between thoughts
Locked up securely
My heart in the box
Stupid me answered
That message he sent
I see more clearly
Now that my future is spent

What does it profit to gain the whole world
And trade in your halo for that man's cheap pearl
Piety's nice when it plays by the rules
But sensual lust is the downfall of fools

I was so stupid to think I was one
So special, unique because he promised ….

Yes there's no rhyme
For that last line
All we women have done it
Jodilee did it … with him.
