I Believe Angels Are Here To Guide Us Home Poem by Mark Heathcote

I Believe Angels Are Here To Guide Us Home

I believe angels are here to love and laugh.
To save us from another stupid mistake
I believe angels are here to guide us home.
Like Mosses with his tablets of stone and staff
I believe angels are here to guide us home.
Prevent us from making any more mistakes.
Oh, I believe angels, divine-
They're turning - water into wine?
Oh, I believe angels, divine-
Are turning poultry moments-
Into something heavenly - that'll always last.
I believe angels are here to guide us home.
For sure, there is more to this life.
That can be answered in a dream or a prayer.
I believe angels are here walking the street.
Sometimes, they smile when you pass by.
Sometimes, they giggle and play a prank.
And you feel alone walking a plank.
But they're there, holding everything in place.
That's even if you've fallen through the cracks
Into depravity and disgrace.
I believe angels are here to guide us home.
And it won't be long till they take even me home.
