I Can't Say Goodbye Poem by Peter S. Quinn

I Can't Say Goodbye

I can't say goodbye
for I love you,
but moments die
everything goes through.
Love is never easy
it's like a river flows,
a freedom to be
'till its water goes.

I can't be away
only in heartbeats here,
but moments never stay
all's forgotten everywhere.
As the hours go
in to its lonely deep,
a moment's glow
not ours for long to keep.

I can't say goodbye
but life is just a while,
like a daybreak in the sky
and your beautiful smile.
I miss you always so
in each my heart beat,
but you had to go
and time's destiny meet.
