I Close The Eyes Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Close The Eyes

Rating: 5.0

It is simple wish and holds on
From a person to be declared dead soon
Simple desire and lot more to reveal
Sensible people may smell it and feel

Yes, that speaks directly
And responded to aptly
No one can read it clear
It reflects on face without fear

Death’s kiss is awaited
Yet one last glimpse is waited
If that smiling face is seen last time
It may make joy unforgettable sometimes

Memory is rushed in mind
For permanent place to find
Where sweet or bitter memory can be accommodated
When come before screen, can be easily related

How all the days were passed off easily?
That gave kind of joy happily
It was never a problem with love
But someone erred and not believed

Days pass off but nights create
Loneliness and reminds of fate
The one that was awaited since long
For doing good thing or wrong

Now it is too late
To see her and relate
About misgivings and desires
Before someone expires

I close the eyes to expire
Tears fall on pillow
That does not allow
Simple grief with remorse
It is deep heart of course

The window is allowing cool breeze
The wind is flowing in to freeze
All my wishes and desires
I close the eyes to expire
