I don’t believe anymore

  Worried citizen, fading morale
They broke the rules
But told me
They want us to feel happy
I still believed

Unrealized dreams, lost hopes
They killed the innocents
But told me
They want us to live long
I still believed

Helpless eyes, stressed folks
They extorted people
But told me
They want us to be rich
I still believed

Scared faces, empty streets
They wreaked havoc
But told me
They want us to feel safe
I still believed

Endless struggle, spiritless life
Thriving poverty, growing injustice
Caught in darkness
One day, my belief grew legs
And walked away

many reasons why man grew with insecurities. to me it seems that man is nothing but limited, weak, egnorant in many ways yet still believing that he's not at all- the illusion of pride in us.

Unrealized dreams, lost hopes

It is one piece that is so well engineered, that it changes from an tight analytical poem to one which is rational enough to be a true message. The metaphoric and literal are perfectly balanced, a perfect way the poet makes meaning with art.
Excellent poem

horrifying....if our belief walks away....u have given us an insight abt the life of those people....let hope and belief never leave their home and land...may peace and faith prevail...
thanks for sharing.
