I Fear Poem by Nicole Delong

I Fear

I fear the day I fall in love.
Would I be loved for who I am?
Or for the appearance an eye craves.
Will it be true, and natural?
or just a phase.
I fear the day I love,
I'll find pain and meet heartbreak.
I fear I'll love and be let down.
That I'll be the one until you move on.
I fear that touch will become a memory.
I fear the reality will become fantasy.
I fear you'll be the one,
The one I couldn't bare to lose.
I fear the loss that could be.
a loss my heart could never take.
I'll love with all I am,
To be faced with tears I cannot shake.
I fear the day I find you.
The memory you'll become.
I fear to be alone,
But my greatest fear of all:
Is the day I fall in love.
