I Fear Love No More Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Fear Love No More

Sometimes I fear waking up just to find you're not there
I can't imagine those beautiful eyes staring me into mines as your voice tones down the volume of my insecurities gone
but Feeling your arms wrapped around me, holding me tight as those lips press against mine
does something to me each and everytime
I lay my head against your chest and i hear the rhythm of our heartbeat
Everything I've looked for, I've found in you
I experienced a many of loves before that just weren't true
And as I stand in your embrace
you whisper so gently, 'i love you'
and I know the words from which you speak is sincere
You assure me that there's nothing to fear
As you wipe away the tears from my eyes
each one reflects on a memory of a time
when things between us gone awry and yet and still you remain after all was said and done
brought about heartache and pain
but you've shown me you're not one to just turn your back
that through the good and the bad the happy and the sad, you'll be right here to console me
through those days and nights of loneliness
why are you so sweet, why are you so understanding
Your love is too good to me to be true
Perfect in every sense
Tearing down the walls that i've built to protect myself from pain
I fear love no more
you've helped me to see the beauty only the feeling that love can bring and i love you for doing the impossible
because I've almost gave up
