I Have Known Poem by Edwina Reizer

I Have Known



I have known piety.
I have known sin.
Both have taught me
the dilemma I'm in.

I'm caught between both
wherever I go,
Torn between the two
but still I know

The former is goodness,
The latter is not.
One will free me.
The other will clot.

And I will choose
the only one
that brings me peace
and the light of the sun.
