I Just Have To Smile Poem by Clyde Watanabe

I Just Have To Smile

Somber moments of life
with the uncertainty of change
Knees are trembling
Heart feels so weak?
Will it be all right?
Is security in sight?

Well I just have to smile
Well I just have to sit a while
to remember who You are

Worry about tomorrow's sunrise?
Worry about today's setting sun?
Worry about decisions I have to make?
Worry about the course to take?

Well I just have to smile
Well I just have to sit a while
to remember who You are

From raindrops to oceans
sand to mountain peaks
dust to galaxies
All creatures and all things
that came to be

You created
You are creator
You stand outside of time
You created all time

So I put all my time in your hands
It's all just a gift from You
From the air that I breathe
to the time you have given me
in You is my hope and security

Well I just have to smile
Well I just have to sit a while
to remember who You are

Hi Clyde, we we're fishing friends way back in the 80's, right? At the Bass Pro Shop in Burbank? If so, hope you're well. Miss those care free days! Great poems! (If not, sorry, just coincidence.) jsimic@mac.com
