I Love You Poem by William Brooks

I Love You

Rating: 5.0

If only you could see this,
How much I need this.
It is part my fault for not telling you,
For keeping my distance.
But we're friends
Till the very end
And I would never impair this relationship.
Half a score of months ago I felt it.
I told you many a time before,
Telling you it was going to pass.
I lied to you, but no more.

I love you.

It hurts me more to see you act like you want to be,
If only just sexually,
Then say it was all just an act.
I've done things that you wish I could take back.
I do too.
I write this here
In this now
Not saying it to your face
Knowing of the refutation that would come
Someday soon I will show you,
This I swear

This world is bigger than us.
Even so, I can feel you miles away.
I'm riding on the winds of love,
Much more than a gust.
It is aero forming into something more.
Something far above lust.

With that I bid you ado.
I feel it is my time to go.
Till tomorrow...

I love you
