She held me close and tight, 'I love you, ' is what she said.
She held me close and tight, 'Look at me, ' is what she said as tears ran down her face.
I moved her to look into her eyes, 'I love you too.'
I moved her some more to wipe her tears, 'Don't cry.'
And as she begged me and fought with me I said 'Don't cry, pray.'
And in went the final piece to her tomb, and a picture to forever remember her 'Love' for me.
I feel the pain and meaning behind this. It is a very touching, sad poem. I love it :)
You made me cry...I thought at first it was a moment you sharing because you were happy but then the last line two lines tells the sad you feel at losing her...beautiful written thanks for sharing
Fine and lofty verse written in persuasive expressions with conviction. Well conceived and nicely brought forth. Thanks for sharing Gary.

A deeply touching write with a love that is beauty written with a great heart!
I wonder if this poem is written about your mother's love. About whoever or whatever it may be, the poem is touchy! The last two lines are really so! Best wishes, and happy writing!
