I Love You But I Don't Poem by Simon Chamoun

I Love You But I Don't

Rating: 4.8

When I first glanced at your pictures
my eyes both saw you
When I heard your voice the first time
my ears both ensued
With the first touch of my hands
both knew where to go to
With every feeling, twice the pleasure
for of everything I have two

But, I have one heart
so filled with love
I would split in half
if I could only have
Just to love you twice
even more than I want
Though of everything I got two
yet, my heart is one

I've learnt to give my everything
never chapters or episodes
Perceive a person by actions, not
per my judgement and thoughts
Dedicate my heart for one at a time
it's a program not separate codes
And why I always get misunderstood
is what I burden in truckloads

Without being in love with you
I can love you right and treat you well
I can be every shoulder you ever need
without magic potions or casting spells
I can be your baby and best friend
under the same roof we can dwell
All I ask for in return mademoiselle
is for you to be ma belle

Maybe life will give me a break soon
might open for me some door
To a heart like mine not split to many
perceives itself as a whole
To a flowery spring long awaited
too long I fought this endless storm
To a sunrise I have truly earned
after this many seasons of cold

A good attempt in the chapter of love, Simon. You may like to read my poem, Love and Lust. Thanks

I wish I could renew your hopes... or change my ways... But you clearly know that, Hypocrisy is a part of my nature... I love day dreaming... and making up stories full of passion, wisdom and whatever my mood feels like at the moment... reality is tough... and if I didn't have a vivid imagination... I would've be just another person .....
