I'M Running Down A Sunshine River Poem by Cody Allan Turner

I'M Running Down A Sunshine River

I’m running down a sunshine river
I’m swimming down a sunshine street
As ears reinvent rhythm
A foot tapping to the ongoing beat.

Music and mayhem hand in hand
Frolicking fields of human history
A grin a pure grip of the pouring sand
Sorting levels of mystery.

Son, life is crooked!
Life is messy!
I can assure you it’s not neat!
Still, I’m running down a sunshine river
I’m swimming down a sunshine street.

Great poem! I really like the repetition of those last two lines.
