I'M So Scared Poem by Elizabeth Muller

I'M So Scared

I lived my life a lie
Wondering, 'Why? '
They would let me hurt so much
Then they called me a walking mistake
I gave up.
That's all I could take!
I worked my way this far. Not reaching my goals
It doesn't matter now.
I'm going to a better place.
I go to the corner where I took most my beatings
Say my last good-byes and write my farewell leavings
I grab a piece of hope and tie a knot of frustration
This manufactured noose is nothing but a murderer
Defense is paper thin.
It's temptation draws me within
Grasps my last breath of thy dead soul
Forever now I shall be whole
For these words shall be my last
'I'm so scared.'
