I May Burn Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I May Burn

I may burn

I may burn out
And talk little about
What I felt
Or what I smelt

Why do we refuse?
To take refuge
Under god's oath
That I shall obey till last breathe

Why at all you inject?
Evil's act
Why don't you protect me?
To feel, simple, straight and free

I want to die peacefully
With satisfaction really
Why people should carry wrong impression?
When I have done nothing against any human!

Such is feeling of an honest person
Who always thinks about another one?
Takes his pain as personal
And feel same as felt by any individual

It is life's angle
You may face cruelty
From the nature side
And will have no words to decide

But god always decides in favor
And grants an honor
At the time of departure
Life pays good blessings for sure
