Dear Mother......

I'm trying to think
Of something to say

Mum was the stable one
Out of the two

She was the one
That would make sense
Of unexpected events

She always kept control
Of her feelings
And made us as kids
Feel safe and secure

She was a fantastic cook
So we never starved
She even sewed us her children
Especially us girls
Matching dresses

(rolls my eyes we looked like twins, I was two years older)

But one thing that influenced me the most
Was her strength and faith in God

Its taken me awhile to write this
Mum and I we where never really close
But she had my love and respect

Her wisdom I miss
Her love even more

She never showed it
But loved us all the same

Miss you mum.... Really do
