To all of you who know me well
I say goodbye
Time has caught me up and taken hold
The dreams I had are gone the love for life gone cold

My friend do not shed tears for me
For this is just a passing phase
There will for you be happier brighter days
Just know that I was once here too
Remember the time I spent with you

Do not judge me with a frown
It was the world and all its sorrow that dragged me down
Remember only happiness and do not hate
For I will watch for you each day and guard the gate

Perhaps I'll find the peace this world kept from me
Perhaps I'll find the calm on earth I couldn't see
On leaving this world if anything exists thereafter, I shall see you there
For you I'll wait a lifetime on your coming no matter where

My friend know everything we felt was true
Keep me with you in everything you do
Although I will be gone our love will last
Beneath the sun you will see my shadow cast

Time moves on and with my passing leaves a void
I am sorry for the love that I destroyed
That time we shared turned my chaos into calm
The love you poured on me, made me who I am

Do not regret for I have lived for you
But a greater power broke my will in two
Some fights you fight but cannot win
It was my mind not heart, that in the end gave in

I say goodbye
I say farewell I do
My one true love, my life, my soulmate too
Forgive me please, for that is my last wish from you

I have seen the best of heaven, and I have seen the worst of hell
I stand here fearless, at the tolling of the bell
My time is now, it is my turn to go
I am ready, there is no fear that I know.
