I Selected Democracy Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Selected Democracy

I selected democracy
I rejected demagoguery
I chose liberty, equality and fraternity
I stepped on the ugly neck of racism and bigotry
God, in His Splendor, created one human race
Not two, not three, not four and a lot of space
For men and women to live free and to enjoy
And to be free. What a blessing! What a joy!

I chose, I choose and I'll choose love over everything
I chose, I choose and I will choose life over anything
Money can never buy genuine love and good health
Work hard, smart and be fair, share, donate and wealth
Will follow you like an angel. Treat neighbors and friends
Like loving and loyal family members. Provide good hands
To everyone that you can. My dear friends, to the fullest
Live and enjoy life. Be the best and hope for the best.

I selected democracy
I selected freedom
I rejected demagoguery
And kept at bay boredom
Salute or say hello to strangers
Yes, we are brothers and sisters.
