I Still Love You Poem by Jade Meed

I Still Love You

There were a billion things you could’ve said,
But you chose this one instead,
Millions of them would make me cry like mad,
This one hurt like hell, made me more than just sad.

Insults, comebacks, clever remarks,
They’d burn through my heart with flames and sparks
Little did I know, I’d be grateful for them all,
Anything but this, it’s just too cruel.

Even if it turned out, you didn’t ever love me,
That you kissed my best friend and I didn’t even see,
Nothing you could say would ever be as hard,
Or leave my heart as burnt and charred.

Us breaking up, really messed with my mind,
There’s a part of me missing, I know I’ll never find.
Those four words that you said the other day,
They’re in my heart now, and forever they’ll stay.

I’ll never get over you but soon I’ll stop crying,
I’ll give up with you, simply stop trying.
In that painful moment, crying was all I could do,
When you said ‘I Still Love You’…
