I Understood Nothing And I Wonder

Rating: 5.0

15th August.
What for it is famous?

They told us
On this day
We got independence.

Have we got it?
Are we independent really?

They warned us,
Ask not such
Questions further.

They said,
Worry not,
We are here for you.
We will take you,
To the path of progress.

What do you mean by progress?

They explained;
Foreign English language
Will be used everywhere.
Foreign companies will come,
You will earn more and more dollars.
Your son will read in English medium
And he will go to foreign countries to serve there.
Your daughter will love to a man
Who is not from your land, and
Your family will be a global one.

The true meaning of freedom and salvation, I know not.

I understood nothing,
And I wonder.

We, the people are sovereign.
But I realize, the very word
Sovereign is not a proper.

Not proper
Anywhere in our day to day life,
Here on this earth.

Actually independence depends on individual as well as on the rulers. In real sense we are not prepared for independence. It is like a neckless in the hands of monkey. Economic indepencence is actual independence. we have yst to achieve. Thanks for sharing.....
