I want to keep

I want to keep
The identity of lover
Parent friend and servant.

I want to merge
With You, O my dear
In loving relationship.

I want to feel
The true oneness
On attaining direct contact.

I want to stay
In full consciousness
Of Truth and love with no difference.

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.
