I Was Never Good At Lying Poem by Isabelle Cote

I Was Never Good At Lying

before i start, let me just say, this is just a tidbit from a song i wrote today called, *I was never good at lying*. thank you. :)

looking at the sky, you wonder why it has to be me
thinkin' you shouldn't see me,
but the truth happens to be that i can't hide it anymore
the truth is that i miss you when i'm knocking at your door
and it's killing me to say, but i was never good at hiding
and baby you know i was never good at lying

i just wish you could be with me, walking down the stairs slowly
when i hear you at the door and i can't breathe
without you i'm, sufficating
baby would it hurt you to try?
cuz as much as i try to hide it
i know you know i was never good at lying
