I Will Walk A New Path And Start A New Trend Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

It’s been a long time, sense I confessed anything
I turn to the mirror and look inside of me
The cracks are lessening and the broken pieces are coming together
The light is barley shining but I am starting to feel its warmth
My hearts beating in my chest and I smile with no regrets
So here I go and let my self fall before their hands
My eyes look up at them and I let out a small sigh
I’ll place my heart upon this alter to be judged before the gods to see
Is their anything you want to see before I am set free?
So spread open my wings and let the rain hit my face
Let the water regenerate my mind and spirit all over again
Because the path I must take is a long and desolated one
But I can find the strength to walk this path alone
No hands to guide me and no one to help me see
I’ll let my heart set out the path that appears to be right for me
So blindly I’ll wait for the gods to judge my soul
Tell me how I am even if I all ready know
So before I turn to take the path I have set before my self
Will you tell me anything? Is there anything you regret
With one look to the distance and a kiss on your cheek
My feet start to take the path that’s meant for me
My heart is opened now, to let anyone come in
My fears have been pushed aside because I can finally see
The past has been placed behind me, never to be looked upon again
And a fresh start has been placed before me so I don’t hold anything back
Because fearing everything and never taking any chances
Leaves many opportunities left unseen and unopened
So with my head held high and the path looking gray
I’ll ignore the imperfections and be on my way
To discover a new part of me that needs to be set free
And maybe then I’ll be able to feel again
