I Wish To Feel Something Real Poem by Michelle Asswit

I Wish To Feel Something Real

When my confidence was falling
You came and answered the calling
You caught it, about to shatter
But let it dropp the morning after
And I want to feel...
..Something real
I want it to caress my body
No empty promises
No miss or that or this
I want to be
Something real

Days go by
I'm living my life
I see you around
I have to look down
As your evil eyes
Stare me to my demise
But I'll just avoid it
Though you irk me so
I'll have to let it go
What happened before
I want to feel....
...Something real
I don't want no cold hands
Unbuttoning my blouse
Don't want no more tears
A river made out of fear
Of losing you
Of losing me
Losing me too

Then I met someone new
Made you seem like a fool
Another person on that list
Of people I will never miss
So thank you for
Getting out of my thoughts
Even if you didn't do much
Even if you are lost
And confused
With what you do...

I wanna feel...
...Something real
I want to be...
The queen you seek
I want to be the answer
Don't want to move faster
But I
I must try
Before I die
To feel....
...Something real
