I Wouldn't Be So Sure About That Poem by Pierre Rausch

I Wouldn't Be So Sure About That

I did hear about that, yes
Put that thing away
I don't blame you for this
I don't think this way

I wouldn't be so sure about that
Were the color of the keys
You might say that he had the last laugh
Just remember why we're doing this

And then, perhaps to the next chapter
I switch off the bedside light
As if someone had given me a ticket
This is what I call a study

I wouldn't be so sure about that
Were the color of the keys
Then I added in the same manner
A recent visit to the appearance

Fair enough, with all imagination
A nice guitar, a racing bike
To fly somewhere
If I had something to write

I wouldn't be so sure about that
Were the color of the keys
You might say that he had the last laugh
Just remember why we're doing this

I wouldn't be so sure about that
Were the color of the keys
Then I added in the same manner
A recent visit to the appearance
